Think about how you will use the backdrop
A ceremony arch frames the people getting married; a party backdrop may sit behind a cake table or create a place for guest photographs. Explain its purpose before choosing a style so the size and placement make sense.
Bring reference images to describe the look, and ask Jamie for current photographs of available rental pieces. Florals, fabric, signage and other styling elements should be discussed separately so you know exactly what the proposed rental includes.
Measure the space before choosing a piece
Share the available width, ceiling height and the area around the display. Doorways and access routes matter too: a piece has to get into the space before it can be set up.
For outdoor use, tell Jamie about the surface, exposure and venue requirements. Ask which pieces are appropriate and who is responsible for installation. Include a weather backup location rather than assuming a rental can be used in every setting.
- A photograph and approximate measurements of the proposed placement.
- Whether guests will stand in front of it, walk through it or sit nearby.
- Venue rules for freestanding pieces, attachments and decorative materials.
- Setup and removal times, with contact details for the person managing venue access.
Combine a rental with event design
If you need help connecting the backdrop to the rest of the room, include wedding or birthday design in your inquiry. Chairs, linens and table decor can be discussed at the same time, with each item and service confirmed in the quote.
